Louise Wooster was a
well known 19th century Birmingham madam and author of
the memoir Autobiography of a Magdalen. This scrapbook
contains primarily newspaper clippings relating to the
Confederacy and Confederate veterans, the
Spanish-American War, British history and newspaper
interviews with Wooster, most relating to her supposed
love affair with Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth.
